📢 How to Certify the Entry into the Customs Territory of the EU for a Yacht under Temporary Admission (TA)
Dear Partners,
Non-EU yachts owned by a non-EU company with a non-EU resident ultimate beneficial owner (UBO) can benefit from Temporary Admission for private use. This allows them to avoid paying VAT on the hull for a continuous period of up to 18 months.
At FLYN-YACHTING, we track your yacht’s navigation to prove two key events:
-
CERTIFICATE OF PRESENCE IN A NON-EU TERRITORY:
confirming the yacht has exited EU waters and touched a non-EU country. -
CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY INTO THE CUSTOMS TERRITORY OF THE EU : confirming the yacht’s re-entry into EU territorial waters, renewing the 18 months period.
A detailed map is attached to the certificate, showing:
-
Territorial waters boundaries
-
Entry and exit points
-
A complete list of relevant coordinates (Longitude, Latitude, Date-Time)
These certificates are fully suitable for presentation to Customs authorities, and can be used to obtain a formal Temporary Admission declaration (Annex 71-01).
